TAX COLLECTION INFORMATION 2024
This is a reminder that Town / County Tax Bills will be mailed to you the week of December 25th, 2023.
The tax collector will start collecting on January 2nd, 2024.

Please keep an eye out for your bill in the mail and contact our office at 585-599-1206 immediately if you do not receive it. Please note that according to N.Y. RPT. LAW § 987 - 3. The address to which the tax bill shall be mailed shall be the mailing address of the owner as reported by the property owner or as otherwise reported to the collecting officer; if no such address has been reported, such tax bill shall be mailed to the address of the property as shown on the tax roll. 4. The failure to mail any such notice, or the failure of the addressee to receive the same, shall not in any way affect the validity of taxes or interest prescribed by law with respect thereto.

One of the consistent issues we have when accepting taxes by mail is unsigned checks so, please make sure your check is signed and please do NOT postdate the check. Please use Blue or Black ink.

Another issue is the incorrect amount paid so please make sure your check matches the bill when filling it out.
All check deposits can be made right from the office so check payments are preferred. When paying with a check,  Please do not put commas in the number box or cents on a hyphenated line
